Net Energy Metering (NEM) promotes cost savings, empowers customer choice, stimulates economic growth, and enhances environmental sustainability while contributing to a more reliable and resilient energy grid.

 

This policy has been helping local people go solar in New Hampshire since 1998,
and supports locally generated small-scale hydropower.

But now, with no legacy plan in place after the current program ends in 2040,

net metering faces an uncertain future in New Hampshire.
